Terms of Use
Your acceptance
By using the Compendle website ("Service") you agree to be bound
by (1) the following terms and conditions of use ("Terms"), (2)
Compendle's privacy policy.
MyKnowledgeMap Ltd may, in its sole discretion, update and
change the Terms without notice. Any new features that enhance the
current Service, including the release of new tools and resources,
shall also be subject to these Terms. Continued use of the Service
after any updates or changes shall constitute your consent to such
changes.
MyKnowledgeMap has permission, in its sole discretion, to
terminate or suspend your account if you violate any of the
following Terms:
General use
- In order to complete the registration process you must provide
your full legal name, a valid email address, and any other
information requested.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your
username and password. We will not be liable for any damage or loss
caused by your failure to maintain this security.
- You are responsible for all content posted and activity that
occurs under your account.
- Any automated methods of registration ("bots") are not
permitted.
- You agree not to distribute in any medium any part of the
Service without MyKnowledgeMap's prior written consent.
- You agree not to alter or modify any part of the Service.
- Verbal, physical, written or other abuse (including threats) to
any MyKnowledgeMap employee will result in immediate account
termination.
- MyKnowledgeMap reserves the right to alter or discontinue any
aspect of the Service at any time.
- If MyKnowledgeMap fails to exercise or enforce any right or
provision of the Terms this shall not constitute a waiver of such
right or provision.
- You agree to use the Service only within the country stated
during registration. If you move to a different country you will
e-mail wp_payments@myknowledgemap.com to declare this.
- Compendle is the product of a UK company and is hosted in the
UK and therefore acts in accordance to UK law. Any legal
notifications such as the Digital Millenium Copyright Act ("DMCA")
should be submitted in accordance with UK law.
Copyright and content use
- You shall be solely responsible for all information, data,
text, software, music, sound, images, video, or any other materials
("Content") uploaded onto the Compendle website.
- You retain all of your ownership rights when you upload Content
to the Service.
- We will not make any of the Content you upload available to any
third parties without your permission.
- You may not upload any Content to the Service which is illegal
or which violates any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not
limited to copyright laws).
- You must only upload Content to the Service if you are the
copyright holder or have permission from the copyright holder. You
assume all liability related to Content copyright or any other
ownership right disputes related to the Content you upload to the
Service.
Fair use
- You shall not misuse system resources including, but not
limited to, uploading Content which consumes excessive CPU time or
storage space; utilizing excessive bandwidth.
- If you utilize excessive bandwidth we will send you a warning.
Following a warning MyKnowledgeMap reserves the right to pass on
any charges incurred.
Payment and refunds terms
- A valid credit card is required for paying accounts. Free
accounts are not required to provide a credit card number.
- If you sign up for a paid account, there is a 7 day cooling off
period, during which time you can cancel your account without
charge.
- If you upgrade from the free account to any paid plan you will
be billed for your first month immediately upon upgrading.
- The Service is billed in advance on a monthly basis and is
non-refundable. There will be no refunds for partial months of
service, or refunds for months unused with an open account. No
exceptions will be made.
Cancellation and termination
- You are solely responsible for cancelling your account. You can
cancel your account at any time by clicking to cancel in the My
Account section of Compendle. An email or phone request to cancel
your account is not considered cancellation.
- All of your Content will be deleted from the Service upon
cancellation. Your Content can not be recovered once your account
is cancelled.
- If you cancel the Service before the end of your current paid
up month, your cancellation will take effect immediately and you
will not be charged again.
- MyKnowledgeMap, in its sole discretion, has the right to
suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or
future use of the Service. Such termination of the Service will
result in the deactivation or deletion of your Account and deletion
of all Content in your Account. MyKnowledgeMap reserves the right
to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
Modifications to the Service
- MyKnowledgeMap reserves the right at any time to modify or
discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part
thereof) with or without notice.
- MyKnowledgeMap shall not be liable to you or to any third party
for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of
the Service.
Refunds
Refunds can be given at the discretion of MyKnowledgeMap
Ltd.
