Who are they?
The Centre for Excellence in Leadership (CEL) is a national agency which promotes skills training for leaders in the education sector.
The challenge
Recently, the CEL wished to develop two online toolkits consisting of activities and materials which learners could access at a time that suited them. The toolkits were tailor-made for groups of learners: The Adult Community Learning (ACL) leadership toolkit was aimed at busy managers and head teachers, while the second toolkit was developed specifically for leaders at Independent Specialist Colleges (ISC). The CEL already had generic leadership training resources, however they needed the input of specialists in order to tailor the information. They required a tool which would allow third parties to review the material and collaborate with ease.
The solution
Review Panel was the perfect solution. The CEL was able to load their existing training to the system and invite their chosen experts to log in and have access to specific projects. The experts could then add suggestions, make comments and ask questions, all through Review Panel. Because Review Panel is accessed online, it didn’t matter if the people reviewing the toolkits were spread over large distances. The CEL could use Review Panel to get the collaboration they needed, and to track the status of their toolkit projects.
Going forward
Review Panel is making it easy for organisations like CEL to set up a multi-partner review process. Companies are also using Review Panel to quality assure their own projects and to track the development of training materials.
